A very busy 12 months

It's been a year since I've last updated this blog and I'm happy to report that I am still very much a part of the U.S. and international Olympic movements. A few months ago, I was invited to return as an Young Reporter at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Austria. I look forward to attending my third Games in as many years. I plan to work a fourth Games - the London 2012 Olympics - for USA Canoe/Kayak. The team has qualified four Olympic slots already and hope to earn more.

I remain a grad student at TCU and have been working towards my Master's degree in public relations. I became the first intern at Streams and Valleys, a nonprofit devoted to promoting the Trinity River in Fort Worth. When I'm not Tweeting for the organization, I'm on the river interacting with all its different user groups. I'm currently volunteering with TCU Athletics Media Relations, working in the press box at Horned Frog football games. I've also volunteered with the 2011 Crowne Plaza Invitational golf tournament, the 2011 NCAA men's basketball tournament Southwest Regional, and the 2010 Valero Alamo Bowl. Phew.

Until Austria...
